It’s evidently based on email address. So since I have my own mail server and can have an infinite number of aliases, I gamed the system until I got a Zhusen avatar (to be fair it was my first try off my gravatar addresses) 😀
People from PvP realms are generally okay during world quests, adhering to the unspoken agreement of “live and let live” – the problem is when geared PvE players get pulled into PvP realms. They can finally slate their thirst for blood.
Different players, different goals… this is the reason I detest the AAA industry. They always chase some new thing that got big, and there’s no real variety. One game cannot please all, and trying to do that is what has caused so much of a problem in MMOs as a segment of gaming.
What’s killing MMOs is that most companies figured out they can make more money with cheaper projects. WoW was like a gold rush: a crap ton of companies rushed to make one after WoW struck gold and only a handful found any gold themselves. Now no one even wants to make a full MMO.
Main reason I don’t PVP is that I tend to hold grudges against actual players for WAAAAAAY too long.
Doesn’t matter that I know it’s just a game, that I shouldn’t take ganks so personally, or that I invited ganks upon myself by getting flagged and not immediately hearthing or stealthing.
I was serial griefed multiple times on a PVP realm while leveling in my early days of WoW as a squishy priest during BC. I still bear a grudge against at least three of those griefers.
Man, I can relate.
one of those cases where someone loves world pvp
Best way to avoid that world PvP is to roll on a PvE server.
Anymore on WoW Legion, I’ve found that a good 70% of the groups I join anymore are flagged for PvP for some reason and I am on Moonguard.
One of the reasons I quit. I swear those PVPers are just trying to get more people to join the fight, rather than to accomplish any PVE objectives.
Why roll on PvP if you don’t want to PvP, guy.
Because PVE is for fuckin’ PANSIES.
Please don’t actually swack me, I’m just here for tin ore, I can’t stand fighting actual players
That randomized Icon is fucking gold for that response.
I wonder if it is really randomized and not made up by some sarcastic ANN looking for text patterns.

Only reason I’m on one is cause that’s where the people I raid with are. Thankfully as a Rogue I can stealth everywhere so I avoid a lot of ganking

Oooh, someone’s about to drop a bombshell into the meeting :3
They’re not going to get her to go to another of these if they hand out epic weapons like popcorn.
Welp, this is where Vedrana joins the conversation. And they all did this to themselves, really.
REALLY annoyed the addon that’s supposed to warn me if a group is flagged for PVP when I need to do an elite WQ doesn’t work.
TRAITOR!
FYI, there’s a double ‘can’ in the last panel.
