Roses Are Red, Violets are Blue…
Sorry for the radio silence for anyone that didn’t catch my tweet, but as I was working on this very comic to go up on the 7th, the flu ambushed me and had me laid up for over a week.

Meme offically canon
This is Fist of the North Star, not a bloody Jojo’s reference.
He’s a rogue. He gets a feee cleanse?
NANI????
Yay! Welcome back to the land of the living! I can’t wait for him to fall over from 15x damage.
DoT is Death spelled backwards. Well, in German at least.
Welcome back!
So stacking debuff and I’m assuming at the full original damage because it’s broken. Yikes.
Losing 35% damage to be able to inflict that damage twice. Yeah, that ain’t broken, not at all. /sarc
A lot more than twice. Each stack does the damage. At 15 stacks, the Fist of the North Star reference in the background there makes perfect sense 🙂
Yeah, we are looking at something like 17250 points of damage over five seconds here.
I’m assuming at this point Castor leads their internal testing teams and likes to sit on this stuff.
Depends on whether it’s passive (on all the time) or active (triggered as a cooldown). As a “talent”, could be either. Getting a baseline 20% dps increase for, say 15-20s as a cooldown isn’t out of the question by any means.
Also, I don’t think its “A lot more than twice”. I’m assuming there’s a rolling stack, rather than a debuff-refresh. So that stack of fifteen is going to start dropping down as the five second window behind the attacks earlier in the stack start dropping off. The only the stack would hit fiteen is because of FoF, which allowed Lys to put fifteen (weaker than normal) attacks downrange within the five seconds – there’s no actual benefit per se to having a high stack number.
DoTed??? Someone please explain?
Also, glad you’re feeling better Robin. Welcome back.
“Damage Over Time”
DOT, D.O.T. = Damage Over Time
Means instead of full direct damage say a solid 1000 to your person in one shot, you get a DoT that applies that same damage over X amount of time. Say 100 damage every 1 sec for 10 sec’s applies 1k damage over that time to you. So your life slowly ticks down.
So here, she’s doing 15x her damage over 5 sec’s. Let’s just assume that’s a LOT of damage draining him quickly.
Yeah, DoTs are often the signature of shadow-type casters (life drain), and various nature-type poison-users. It’s often also a (minor?) side effect of fire spells (ie, you’re on fire and burning)
The advantage of DoTs is than you can do other stuff while it ticks, such as running away. They’re often also very fast or instant, so you can DoT multiple targets to do a lot of damage quite efficiently
The tide ebbs and flows.
What kind of crappy internal testing let this talent go live?
Welcome back, Robin!
Sorry to hear you got laid out by the flu. May you feel better and remain well.
Now, I got to ask, what’s going on in the background of the last panel? (Not familiar with Fist of the North Star)
He asplode. In blood. It is quite dramatic.
I was actually starting to get a bit worried you were okay!
Roses are Red, Violets are blue. These dots say I love the end of you.
Why isnt everyone losing his shit about sajon speaking for the first time ever , he broke character only to die
He spoke two comics ago, and it was commented on.
“Give up, Lowbie.”
“Poor choice of FIRST words.”
can we expect a “TO THE GROUND” + blue screen writing future post?
