Quarterly Evaluation
God help me I’m playing League of Legends again. The new matchmaking is a big improvement, not fighting for positions is always good, and people seem a little bit less inclined to sling slurs at people they’ve never met over dying in a video game.
I haven’t played an MMO in a little while though. My blood is beginning to burn. I know there’s a few recent releases that seemed interesting. Blade and Soul is supposed to have cool movement mechanics and I see a class called “Kung Fu Master” which, hello, yes. But Black Desert Online’s character creator is supposed to be like a gift from the gods? I do love spending entire too much time making the face of a character I will spend 99% of the time looking at from behind.
Decisions…
You could say she’s a Vedraina on morale.
Ouch. Funny and I’m giggling, but ouch.
I’m a bit confused by the alt text. Maybe I’m just over tired.
So imagine a tube full of piss, without an end on either side. The piss… just falls out right?
That’s pretty impressive balance on the cleric’s part, actually.
You could say clerics piss holy magic.
Someone mentioned LOL, I want LOL filler art, the LOL has spoken.
Also, Black Desert Online has Gender locked by race and class. I’d give that character creation a an F-.
Blade and Soul has interesting combat and that’s it. Everything else just turned me back to Guild Wars 2.
Black Desert Online’s combat is similar to B&S’s, although B&S relies more on counters and such. BDO is a game where you can build huge trading networks. I’d liken it to Eve, but fantasy world. Story wise, it takes a long time to get anywhere, I’ve played a week and still have only hints at the overlying story. B&S’s story I just ignored almost immediately, it was terrible.
I’m still playing World of Warcraft even though I am not quite sure why other than collecting transmog gear and making gold for Legion. I’ve tried other MMORPGs, and they all lack something and make me head back to WoW. TERA has one of the best combat systems I have ever played, but it wouldn’t know immersion if it bit the makers on the butt. Guild Wars 2 has fun combat and beautiful environments, but it gets repetitive very quickly compared to other MMORPGs I have tried. WildStar captured my attention but didn’t keep me playing (maybe it is too much like a Saturday morning cartoon). Final Fantasy XIV would probably be top of my list if it had voice acting and weren’t so instanced. For now, I’ll tinker with other MMORPGs but stick to World of Warcraft.
Yeah, me too. I’ve played other MMOs to max level, GW2 and FFXIV being some of the bigger ones.
They were fun for a bit, but I’ve always been drawn back to WoW.
Right now I’m just roleplaying and doing a smidgeon of pvp.
