The personal irony to the last couple days worth of this comic: I’ve been playing Classic Everquest on a new classic progression server and spent at least a couple hours killing Cubert for the Rat-shaped Ring quest… Gooood Cubert!
Whelp, they are down to just one Blackguard now, unless they had more in reserve, either way this buys a little more time to Zhousen’s help to arrive at the port.
…I just realized…the writer hinted at this a while back in one of the patchnotes things. Because the notes mentioned changes to encourage the use of lesser used pets.
Included in the list were changes to everyone’s favorite green cube.
I can’t see any reason to believe they are down to just one Blackguard, and even if they where, he’s going to respawn. So is Verdana’s buddy for that matter.

Okay I like this as a PVP repositioning talent a lot more than the global PBAOE knockback. 🙂 It requires clever exploitation.

Respawn, yes. After an unspecified hike, where your corpse may or may not be camped. Which means respawn is not 100% certain to be of actual use.
