Bonus points for Keran being able take care of her own hardware. I’m too scared to do anything more invasive than p cleaning. I’d be lost without that friend who fixes stuff for me for a bottle of booze.
No need to be so intimidated. Building a computer is like putting together a really expensive Lego set. The pieces are mostly designed to fit together one way, and the only tool you need is a screwdriver. Plenty of resources out there to make sure to get compatible pieces. I personally like the subreddit buildapc, lots of guides to help you get started there and people to judge your choices once you figure out what you think you want to buy.
pcpartpicker . com is a godsend. It shows you what’s compatible, prices from most major online retailers, product reviews. It really helped with building my first PC this year.
I do have to say that the comparison to Lego sets is… exaggerated. Yes, things are made to go in one way, but the problem is, most of them don’t just “click in” like a lego piece would. You have to put some amount of pressure on a lot of them, and because of that, I’d recommend having someone help you the first time, I know I if I was alone when I did it, I probably would have just gave up and paid someone because I didn’t wanna break a piece by “forcing” it, even though my version of forcing it was actually just how it was supposed to connect.
I bet next page shes awestruck at how beautiful the graphics are when their not on potato.
I can see more than ten feet!
Shaka has actual fur!
I HAVE A SHADOW!
I may have gone through this exact same process (Minus the crashing, thank god) a couple of months prior.
Wait- Lightning Drakes have FUR?
I still remember when I upgraded from a 4 year old laptop to a brand new one.
“GUYS. GUYS. HOW DOES THIS ALL LOOK SO AWESOME.”
“We know Dizzy…”
“HOLY HECK GUYS THIS COLOR IS ACTUALLY VIOLET!?!? I THOUGHT WARLOCKS WERE DARK PURPLE BUT ITS VIOLET. I NEVER KNEW.”

Hah! As if pugs could ever be swayed by “science.” Its been over a year since GW2 HoT and people still mess up Dragonstand now and again.
