I’ve been part of the same -base- raid team since Cataclysm now. We’ve lost and replaced tons of different people over the years, but its still the same group to me. Never had the experience of being in a raid team where everyone doesn’t know each other fairly closely. [barring like 2 months of the fastest progression I’ve ever seen followed by a volatile implosion during SoO in my alt group]
I’d blame the delay by saying a cat hit enter while walking between you and the monitor or, if they know you don’t have a cat, that a family member asked a question.
