There’s always that one guildie who’s working on a new alt, and they throw any and all crafting mats and cheap greens into the guild bank, because someone might be able to use it.
“You know you can skill up with current tier mats now, right? Nobody cooks up Tasty Lion Steaks anymore!”
I must say thank you for covering such a topic on your comic. As I spoke of before, I had a friend who was having a very hard time going through the steps to go from woman to man.. HE confided in us and we became his support.. but another ‘friend’ let it slip to the school and he became the target of bullying, and slander. Teachers giving ‘support’ yet not… and worse, his parents out right refused to accept the change. Calling it a sick phase. Forcing him to still be a girl, throwing out anything that be ‘boyish’… in the end, having been back stabbed by someone we thought was a friend, picked on, bullied, and having his own parents against his choice… he committed suicide at 17 years old.
Glad we’re back here, though I am sort of picturing Vedrana’s thought stack as fish < candy < emotionally supporting friend through brave and terrifying attempt to be who they are.
I’ve been in largish guilds before, and I’m not so sure I’d notice if someone’s avatar went from male to female, or vice versa. Mostly because I myself play genders interchangeably. My healers (tend to be) female-ish and my tanks generally male-ish. I’d not notice, nor would I care. That being said, a few years (or several) during Everquest II’s first years, I led a family-style guild and we didn’t have voice chat. There was a female warrior in the guild. We got voice chat and for months it was “I don’t have a mike” to “I can’t afford a mike” to “I don’t want to talk because of immersion”. She had become close to one of our other long term guildmates, who was the wife of another. When she (the warrior) finally got on ventrilo, lo and behold, she was a he. And not a trans. Just a guy, playing a girl and convincingly. Enough that the wife had confided stuff she would not usually have. That was a horrible horrible (horrible) experience and eventually we had to kick out the deceiving one. Now I’m very upfront about being a guy behind the avatar, if there is any question at all. But I play both interchangeably.
I play a mixture of male and female characters, mostly because certain races look better as female or fit an idea I have for the character. I don’t really RP in WoW, but I would choose a male character if I did because it would work better with how I think and react to things. I don’t think anybody in my guild so much as batted an eye when my mage main went from male gnome to female night elf (transmog is so much better on a full-size character).
Candy or Zhusen.
Candy… or Zhusen…
Hmm… Damnit, why do you have to make it so hard to make decisions?
They’re both so sweet!
Ab-spotters reporting in; Bearded muscle man is in the area, out.
Well secretly putting a pin in the candy would teach that little shit not to store his candy there.
Finally getting back to Zhusen! You got us all excited with her coming-out, but then spent weeks on other stuff!
also, is the bank thing another case of “Things Robin did in wow”?

I have plenty of my own bank space, tyvm.

So yes, thank you for covering this hard subject.

So do we now call her Zhusen or Susan?

That avatar is unfortunate.
Every day I love this randomized avatar system more and more.
“Randomized”
You’ll never convince me that it isn’t you sitting there playing shenanigans
BTW, I’ve tightened my belt a touch, so we should be good to continue as is
Easy like taking candy from a rogue.
I cant wait to see the other guildmembers faces!
(Also how do I enable my Gravatar?)
Should be there if you use the same e-mail address as your Gravatar? I’m always logged into the WordPress site itself, so I’m not sure.
