Every raid I healed that expansion, I spent staring at the ground. Because if I looked up even on the lowest settings? Yyyyeah. 3 fps. I feel both your pain, and I am amazed and delighted even more at Keran’s native ability as a raid tank, because even the game itself was working against her on her first raid, and they still downed HOW many bosses?
(… trying to soak the orbs on Twin Val’kyr *solely by following my husband’s called-out directions* sucked. So. Much. ๐ )
I know that pain…finally got an upgrade after ICC was out for awhile. I remember being amazed that it was snowing in Icecrown…I’d never been able to have my graphics high enough to see it ๐
Same. I bought my current desktop while we were progressing through ICC and my guild was shocked to find out that I didn’t actually suck at the game – it REALLY was my lousy computer.
I went from dead last on the damage meter to top 5.
I remember being amazed that the laptop I had bought sometime in 2003 was playing stuff in WoTLK. I had given it to my brother. He did have to use minimum graphics, and things weren’t working great… but for the machine to even run it was astounding.
i will never forget on my old pc every pull was a 20 second freeze till the prosesor chatched up , aa memories, horrible horrible memories , so many corpse runs , and i was a healer HA! , my guild was really desperate ๐
Until my brother upgraded my computer in the middle of Mists of Pandaria, I could only do 10 man raiding at most, and I had to drop graphics and draw distance especially to nothing in order to throw frostbolts smoothly. It’s better now, but I may have to upgrade the graphics card for Legion.
This is still me. I can alt-tab playing WoW, but I can’t have too much other stuff on the screen; I have to close all my internet tabs if I want to raid and use voice chat. Also, sometimes when I close it, WoW freaks out and refuses to play along.
I feel your pain, Keran.
I raided ICC at low settings and 3 fps.

Kek. 1 fps in arenas and I managed to get 1800.
I always have everything at the lowest setting:[
Know the feel…
It felt like a whole new world when I got a stationary PC instead of the bad laptop I had with 30 fps on high!
A whole neeew wooooooooorld!
A new fantastic point of view!
Love that last panel’s resolution

Nobody saw that plot twist coming!
It’s probably still rendering though.
For a moment I thought my right contact lens had fallen out.
