GM won’t do shit about this, at least not in WoW. The idea is, if you trust someone enough to allow them access, it’s nobody’s fault but yours if they rob you.
I want to know more about why Murd went along with this. Guilt for outing Vedrana? Does he actually care about what Theron posted on the forums? Is he just going with Theron because he actually tried to help when he found out Orhan was gonna kick Murd from the guild for poor performance? Other reasons?
Or conversely, Theon had the rank to bump people up in rank, and just juked Murd up so he could pilfer the bank. I could see Orhan doing that. “Bump them up a rank for raid pots, then drop them down after we finish for the night so they’re humble”
I think when he overheard them talking he asked Theron about staying on the Arena team and in doing so heard that all the good players were probably leaving.
So I’m guessing Theron informed Murd on it all and Murd, who probably had access to all the stuff when he joined Theron’s team, decided it would be the perfect bribe (“I got you all that swag, let me join the big dogs!”) for Verdrana.
Murd has been around since the beginning. He likes Verdrana and Theron. They’re his friends.
He’s one of those players that just want to be included. He wants to be a feared pvper, but more over, he wants to be loved.
Sometimes friends do shitty things. Murd probably could have earned a bigger role in the guild if he stayed with Ohran, don’t you think? If everyone else is jumping ship, his loyalty could have been bought.
But he left anyways. I’m sure he feels guilty about what he did and this looting expedition isn’t a bribe but an apology.
I have a soft spot for these types of characters. The ones that mean well but make mistakes. Very realistic.
He may LOOK like a vitrolic troll. But he seems more like a young, immature or new player who has seen the “gamer culture” in this game and is doing what he thinks “is the game”. He sees people being awesome in pvp so he wants to be one of those guys.
even his trash talk, I think alot of teens who play the game do it because they think thats how you are SUPPOSE to act. I know many people trashing in teamspeak for halo do it because its a cultural thing.
Basically he just wants to be one of the team and was corrupted by people like Orhan.
I mean if you really want to talk about “stealing from the guild bank”, what about all those times Whorhan stole from the guild bank to try to buy his way into Vedrana’s pants? Obviously nothing happened there (GM-wise), so I wouldn’t expect it to here either.
OH DAMN! Murd finally does something without failing terribly! lets just hope a GM doesn’t catch up to them.

Now… now he is a true dwarf
He should have filled the bank with individual Fire resist pots.
To help treat the sick burn.
Aww… Murd DOES have a heart.
Though I’d chalk this up as an act of contrition for selling Vedrana out for a spot on the RBG team.
Bah! Stealing is its own reward.
xMuderbanex, you just earned your x.
Which x?
all the x’s!

Also, why did Orhan give Murd a high enough rank to take literally everything out of the bank? Surely he didn’t have that much faith in him?
As a raider, you typically have second highest access to the Guild Bank so you can get flasks, food, and materials for raid stuff.
Only the bank manager has higher access.
Plus, I think it’s pretty apparent that Orhan didn’t think highly enough of Murd to expect treachery.

That’s my favorite yahoo show. 🙂 You just became ten times more awesome!
thats why MurderX is my second fav character.

Awww, that was a nice gesture from murd. He could’ve taken it and ran.
Thank you for answering my question!
Ah, Orhan. You underestimated the rogue with Xs framing his name. In this one, you truly have only yourself to blame.
One word: YES!!!!!
YES! Take that TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT!
What?
Stealing from a guild bank like that is typically against the Terms of Service.
I don’t think its listed anywhere for WoW, couldn’t say for any other games.
Stealing from a Guild Bank in WoW is a bannable offense and the GM refund the stuff back typically.
